The Happold Scholarship is funded by the Happold Trust and the 'Company of Constructors' and managed with the support of the Chartered Institute of Building.

The review board select one candidate per year who is awarded a bursary to further sustainability within construction, for preparing a thesis and presenting findings to a senior industry audience.

Established in 1995 by Ted Happold and the founders, the Happold Trust is a registered charity that promotes education, research and training in construction, engineering, technology and architecture.
